GLIMS and CyberLab at Armentières

MIPS is proud to announce that on 6 December 2010 GLIMS and CyberLab (Result Consultation) were taken into production by the hospital of Armentières (France). The GLIMS Report Builder module has been implemented for generating work list outline reports and PDF reports that are used in order to automatically fax reports.

GLIMS and CyberLab in MCL

MIPS is proud to announce that on 2 December 2010 GLIMS and CyberLab (Result Consultation) were taken into production by the laboratory of MCL (Bern, Switzerland). In an earlier phase, the laboratory of microbiology was connected to GLIMS and CyberLab (Result Consultation). Since December 2nd, the entire laboratory - including the chemistry, hematology, serology, andrology ... departments - is supported by GLIMS.

CyberLab at Jove

MIPS is proud to announce that on 5 November 2010 CyberLab was taken into production by the "Fundación Hospital de Jove" (situated in Gijón, in the north of Spain). CyberLab was implemented in all the wards of the hospital and the laboratories of hematology and biochemistry are no longer printing paper reports. The laboratory of microbiology will soon follow.

GLIMS in Estonian

MIPS is proud to announce its first implementation of GLIMS in the Estonian language at the laboratories of microbiology and molecular biology of Quattromed HTI Laborid OÜ on 1 September 2010. Quattromed HTI Laborid OÜ is Estonia's largest private capital based medical laboratory. Its laboratories are based in North (in capital Tallinn), South (Tartu) and East (Jõhvi) Estonia. They provide medical diagnostics to clients ranging from general practitioners and private clinics to regional and local hospitals. The implementation was a joint operation between MIPS and Quattromed HTI Laborid OÜ IT partner - Hansson, Leego & Partner Ltd. The GLIMS Report Builder module is used for paper reports. During the second phase of this project, GLIMS will be taken into production by the laboratory of clinical chemistry.

GLIMS and CyberLab in MCL

MIPS is proud to announce that on 25 October 2010 the microbiology laboratory of MCL (Medizinische Laboratorien / Laboratoires Médicaux) in Niederwangen (Switzerland) has taken GLIMS and CyberLab (result viewer) into production. This implementation - complex due to its geographical spread and multilingual environment - was performed in close collaboration with a competent team on the side of the customer. During a second phase, the rest of the laboratory will connect to GLIMS.

MIPS and IHE-LAB

MIPS participated last week in the IHE-LAB Face2Face meeting in Chicago. This meeting offered the unique opportunity to discuss the future of laboratory instrument connectivity with the IICC (IVD Industry Connectivity Consortium). During this meeting, it was decided to create a new IHE profile: Laboratory Analytical Workflow (LAW). More information is available in the IHE wiki.

GLIMS at Medpace Leuven

MIPS is proud to announce that the Medpace laboratory in Leuven, Belgium has taken GLIMS into production. The Medpace laboratory in Cincinnati, USA is already working with GLIMS. Medpace Reference Laboratories (MRL) is a global leader in providing customized, high quality laboratory services to the pharmaceutical and biotech clinical trial industries with laboratories in Cincinnati (USA), Leuven (Belgium), Beijing (China) and Mumbai (India).

Annual congress 2010 of IHE the Netherlands

On 12 November 2010 IHE the Netherlands organizes its 7th annual congress in Spant! in Bussum. The number of domains where IHE is active keeps growing. At the IHE-day you will get acquainted with the latest developments. Furthermore the annual congress is THE place to broaden your network of contacts in the world of medical care and IT. The last few years the congress was visited by approximately 200 participants from different target groups (decision-makers, ICT experts, suppliers, financiers, users of medical systems). MIPS is represented in the working group IHE-Lab IHE the Netherlands and has the honour of informing you about this congress.
